how does the absence ofthe abs light, which indicates if there is a fault in the abs system only cause you to "have no brakes at all"????? the brakes will still function with or with out the abs system.

@murad69 I had my rear driver side tire blow out on me (procrastinated on replacing) on the highway going 75. when my suv hit 40, i tried to turn to the hov lane but i lost control and hit the side. luckally i was ok and was still able to drive my 97 ford explorer for months after

The rust could present even a greater threat to structural integrity than an accident, not to mention suspension and subframe corrosion, brake and fuel lines rusting. I've seen rusted cars have catastrophic chassis failure in a moderate collision. And I've seen VIN stickers removed and placed on R-DOT parts. (R-DOT is a replacement part either factory or aftermarket)
